The Corfu Trail

a must for walkers and trekkers

How to get to Corfu

By air
Between May and the end of October direct charter flights to Corfu are available from more than 40 airports in the UK and continental Europe. Most charter airlines/tour operators will accept "flight only" bookings during the off season which is hiking season.
In "winter" our island is reached via Athens from where there are 3 to 4 daily flights to Corfu. Reasonably priced through fares are available from the local Aegean Airlines and Olympic Airlines.

By sea
Regular overnight sailings from the Italian ports of Venice and Brindisi. On some sailings from Brindisi there are special concessions for Eurailcard holders.

The Corfu Trail Foundation (a non-profit making organisation) has created and waymarked the trail and makes every effort towards good maintenance and new infrastructure. We are glad our trail has been accepted by walkers and trekkers from all corners of the world. It is our aim to preserve these age-old paths. We are busy keeping the trail in good shape but we do not operate walks.

Individual hikers and groups are advised to contact our designated expert agent on the island Aperghi Travel and Tourism, Dimokratias Ave & 1, I Polylas St, 49100 Corfu, Greece or e-mail aperghi@travelling.gr. They will gladly provide you with suggestions for accommodation and transport packages to guarantee a well planned hiking holiday.
